Cora Ennis Morris

For Cora, making art has been an innate desire throughout her life which propelled her to earn a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts Degree in Painting & Printmaking from Central Connecticut State University.

Over the years, she has worked in various mediums but after mainly painting with acrylics, Cora was in search of a new medium to develop a new style. This occurred in 2012 while attending an opening for the encaustic artist Martin Kline. After seeing the exhibit she registered for a workshop to learn the process. Encaustic is the fusing of bees wax and damar resin that has been in use since Ancient times. Her style incorporates encaustic, photography, painting, and printmaking. Cora’s subject matter over the years has always remained constant, embracing her passion for nature and world travel.
